Anxiety & Depression

Often, a very common reason people begin yoga is because they have heard that it is great for reducing stress and anxiety. The ancient system of Yoga is a science of understanding the mind (mind-body) and how to overcome the afflictions created by the mind as a human. With a quieter mind comes an awareness of what is beyond it, Yoga teaches the potential of developing more aspects of ourselves with the mind as a faithful servant and our heart and soul as our guide.

The ancient text describes the process, paths, and outcomes in many ways, from the scientific method of Patanjali’s Yoga sutras, through stories of the Bhagavad Gita, conversations between lovers and friends in the Upanishads, songs, rituals and more. In essence we are stilling the fluctuations of mind so we can abide in our true nature, which is one of peace, inner freedom, creative power, unconditional love, and more conscious awareness. A simple, tried and tested powerful ancient system that reduces anxiety, lifts depression and restores peace and happiness.
